Grand Tetons Barns The John Moulton Barn on Mo...Image via Wikipedia
It has been a while since I have updated the main page of my blog, and I am leaving for a trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming on Wednesday morning, so I figured now should be the time! I plan on taking several pictures while we are gone so look forward to those! In the mean time here is a very pretty pic I have found on the net. Enjoy!

Papa and a Kiddie Pool...

I do believe Papa was proud of his grandson. He was so happy to see how much Jase has grown. He went to Wal-Mart and bought Jase his very own kiddie pool!

Jase decided he liked it!

Papa taught him how to blow bubbles! Jase wasn't so sure about blowing them himself.

Papa also squirted water on Jase from a toy! They had all sorts of fun together!

Thank you Papa for my pool...I love it almost as much as I love you!

Mommy enjoyed every minute watching two of her most favorite boys have fun together. She can't wait to see them together again!

XOXO

Road Trip!

This would have been a lot neater shot if my mirror was clean, but lets just say we got a "little" water on the way to Hot Springs...

Road trips...the glorious time in summer when you experience the wide open road with friends and family. Sometimes you have a set plan and schedule, and sometimes it gets thrown to the wind because of torrential downpours.
My best friend Katie and I took my little boy Jase to Hot Springs, Arkansas to visit his Gran and Papa. We were all set to go!
All was well for the first hour or so of the trip...the the heavens opened up and unleashed their fury. It was raining so hard you could hardly see the front of the car, and what should have been a 6 hour trip ended up taking more like 8. Which was fine for the first 4 hours because this backseat driver was OUT!
He was actually a VERY good little boy. I can't believe he didn't pitch a fit the whole way...8 hours is a long time to be in a car seat.
I was enjoying the view...
and the company...
and the tunes...
The beautiful scenery we experienced will not soon be forgotten.
Neither will the excitement of this little boy who was so happy to get out!

More from our trip to Hot Springs coming later this week!! Please leave a comment...send me some love...or hate...whatever moves you! ;)

Wet 4th...

Isn't this the most adorable little boy you have ever seen!

We went with my mother and step-father to Lake Texhoma for the 4th this year. We were all geared up for some good food, great friends and family, and amazing times on the boat. Here is where I must stop for a moment of silence....

I have still yet to make it out on Lake Texhoma once this summer! It has rained cats and dogs every time I have gone! This time was no exception. It even rained out the big fireworks show on Saturday night. Well what happens when you have a whole crazy family cooped up in one little lake house all weekend? A little too much drinking and a lot of fun!
This is my little sister Jennifer and the current Miss Texas American Miss! She just won the pageant this weekend and will be going to Anaheim, California Thanksgiving weekend to compete in Nationals! Go Jaci Walker!!!
This is crazy poppa David (my step-dad) and my step sister Jordan. We love how silly they are!

This is a prime example of what happens when someone gets a little too much Captain Morgan in them...they sneak off to the dock next door and take crazy pictures with Mannequin Pirates. :) On the way over I walked into a light up palm tree and now have a nasty scratch and bruise to prove it :)

This is Shelby...he is an awesome photographer and future Brother in Law. He is crazy like me so we fit in nicely together...

By the end of the night this pirate ( I like to call him Gray Beard ;) ) became great friends! After all, what is the fourth of July without a little celebration of our freedom to have fun?

And last but not least, I truly am so blessed to live in America and be free to live the life I choose with my sweet little boy and amazing husband. I am so happy to be me.

Boys and Their Toys...

These are my 2 most favorite boys in the world. One just graduated from law school the other just started counting to three. One thing they have in common? They both love their toys! With a specific one in particuar...

This is my husband's latest toy. It was his graduation present to himself. (I tend to love it too, but don't tell him that.) He was so excited to get this car, a 1975 stingray, except he knew he wanted new wheels. Well, these said wheels finally showed up on our door step this week, and he took a much needed break from hours of studying for the BAR exam to put them on.

This is where little Jase decides that he is a big boy and he volunteers himself to be Daddy's little grease monkey. I did not complain because let's face it I like to drive the cars not get dirty changing wheels...it has to be the priss in me. :)

He helped his daddy by rolling the tires where they needed to go. They were almost as big as he is, but he seemed to manage it just fine!

Then he made sure daddy had all the right tools. This is where he was handing daddy the tire iron that narrowly missed mommy's foot :)

He helped dad by making sure all the lug nuts were tightened correctly..."just one more turn daddy!"

Then it was time to take her for a test drive!

We had fun helping dad and we hope you had fun reading about it! Leave us a comment!
